Our Mission

Who We Are

Robert and Shelly McMahon started Southern Fresh Farms on the FIVE acres they bought in 1980. In 2015, they started their Agro-Tourism Park to educate Lee County, Florida on the vital role that agriculture holds in everyone’s life in all capacities. From clothing, textiles, furniture, to name a few - the most important being FOOD!

Technology allows us to grow food vertically as well as on the ground. The stacked towers we use for lettuce allows us to grow more per acre. We sell all the fresh vegetables and fruit directly in our market.

With our commitment to education on agriculture we host educational field trips (pre-K to college students). Teaching and sharing over 50 years agricultural knowledge In addition we currently have Lee County Exceptional Learning students on the work-to-study program here every week.

We are now a non-profit 501 (C (3) operation. Education and the promotion of agriculture in Lee County, Florida is our top priority. From harvests to our rescued barnyard animals, our goal is to promote the importance of agriculture in every facet.
